Diahann is currently working as a building and interior designer in her own architectural practice in the north of Melbourne.
As a consumer challenged by bipolar illness she has an interest in participating as a member in consumer groups and committees. Diahann is currently involved with the following:
- MMHA Speaker's Bureau
- MMHA National CALD MH Consumer Reference Group
- Victorian Transcultural Psychiatry Unit CALD Consumer Advisory Group
- Diversity in Health Conference Committee
Diahann won first prize with her short 'recovery story' documentary at the DBA in Chicago. Since making the short film she has presented it publicly through the media, workshops, training audiences at at the Vicserve Conference in 2008.
Diahann was previously involved with: The Consumer Advisory Group, NWAMHS; NWAHMS Consumer/Carer Advisory Group; Participating Lives Research Reference Group - PHD Project; AMHCN National CALD Consumer Standing Committee and the 'Strengths model of case management research project
