The Transcultural Mental Health Line is a telephone service available to support people who live in NSW and who are from culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

The Line operates Monday to Friday between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm.

You can call the Transcultural Mental Health Line on 1800 648 911.

The Transcultural Mental Health Line connects you to experienced clinicians who understand your culture and can communicate in your language.

If you or someone you know needs help, the Transcultural Mental Health Line offers:

  • advice on how to improve your wellbeing and mental health
  • help you to access mental health services in your community
  • support for you to care for someone with a mental health concern.

Access to the right care


The Transcultural Mental Health Line will support you with information and access to a range of services provided by the public, private and non-government sectors. The Transcultural Mental Health Line provides culturally and linguistically responsive support through timely in-language over the phone support and connections to the most appropriate mental health and community support services.

When you call the line, you will receive information and brief over the phone support in your language. The health professionals working on the line can also link you to the right care in your community, including public mental health services, general practitioners, psychologists, counsellors and community services.
